Mr. Jean THUMBA NYEMBO: A New Economic Connector Between Florida and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce is strengthening its network in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with the membership of TH CAPITAL SARL, a Congolese company led by its Managing Partner, Jean THUMBA NYEMBO. This membership comes at a time of strengthening economic and strategic relations between the United States and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, alongside growing efforts to develop trade partnerships and direct investment opportunities between the two countries.

Mr. Jean THUMBA NYEMBO: International Experience in Support of the DRC’s Economic Development
An entrepreneur and business executive, Jean THUMBA NYEMBO brings more than ten years of experience in private-sector management and strategic leadership. Born in Kinshasa in 1984, he has an international academic background, including a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), as well as academic experience in Lyon, France.
After beginning his professional career in France, he chose to apply his expertise to the economic development of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He notably led SOGEMIL SARL, where he contributed to the company’s strategic development, particularly in the beverage sector through the natural mineral water brand “Ma Vie.”
Today, through TH CAPITAL SARL, he continues his entrepreneurial commitment by developing projects in strategic sectors, including agribusiness and business services.
TH CAPITAL SARL: An Economic Link to the DRC
The addition of TH CAPITAL SARL gives the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce a direct entrepreneurial presence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The company will contribute to identifying business opportunities, facilitating connections, and supporting the development of partnerships between Congolese companies and Florida-based businesses. This contribution is particularly relevant as the United States identifies several sectors in the DRC as offering significant potential, including agriculture and agribusiness, energy, infrastructure, digital technologies, critical minerals, and industrial development.
TH CAPITAL SARL can therefore play an important role as an economic connector, helping turn commercial interest into concrete partnerships between private-sector stakeholders.
A U.S.–DRC Relationship in Transition
Economic cooperation between Washington and Kinshasa is part of a strategic relationship that has steadily expanded. In 2019, the United States and the DRC launched the “Privileged Partnership for Peace and Prosperity,” with the objective of strengthening economic relations and promoting U.S. trade and investment in the DRC.
This momentum has continued at the highest levels. In December 2025, U.S. President Donald J. Trump welcomed President Félix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the White House in connection with the signing of the Washington Accords for Peace, underscoring the growing importance of the DRC in the U.S. strategy toward Central Africa.
From a trade perspective, U.S.–DRC trade in goods reached approximately $2.1 billion in 2025. The DRC is also eligible for AGOA in 2026 and benefits from a bilateral investment treaty with the United States.
The Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce: A Player in the New Economic Diplomacy
In this evolving environment, the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce is committed to bringing Florida-based businesses, investors, and institutions closer to African markets.
The addition of TH CAPITAL SARL strengthens our mission by establishing a structured connection with the DRC under the leadership of Mr. Jean THUMBA NYEMBO. Through this partnership, the Chamber brings its economic network in Florida and across the United States, while TH CAPITAL SARL contributes its knowledge of the Congolese market and its local entrepreneurial presence.
Together, the two organizations will facilitate access to the Congolese market for Florida-based companies while creating new opportunities for Congolese businesses to establish partnerships, attract investment, and access the U.S. market.
A Strategic Membership Focused on Action
The membership of TH CAPITAL SARL marks a new step in building the Florida–DRC economic corridor.
For the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce, this means strengthening an African network designed not only to promote trade, but also to contribute to the practical implementation of economic opportunities.
For TH CAPITAL SARL and its Managing Partner, Jean THUMBA NYEMBO, this membership provides a new platform to engage with American companies and investors and to actively contribute to a new generation of economic partnerships between Florida and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Ultimately, the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce and TH CAPITAL SARL share a common ambition: to transform cooperation opportunities between the United States, Florida, and the DRC into concrete, sustainable, and value-creating economic projects.
