FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 with the President Donald J. Trump.

Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce at the Heart of New Global Capital Dynamics. Miami, March 25–27, 2026 FII PRIORITY “Capital in Motion”

From March 25 to 27, 2026, Miami Beach hosted the fourth edition of FII PRIORITY Miami, organized by the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute at the Faena Hotel & Forum, under the theme “Capital in Motion.” For three days, more than 2,000 global leaders, investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and international figures gathered to examine the evolving movement of capital, innovation, technology, and international investment.

For the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce (FACC), the gathering represented an important strategic opportunity: to engage with global investment dynamics and advance the conversation around stronger economic and commercial relations between the United States and Africa.

A Global Gathering at the Highest Level

The fourth edition of FII PRIORITY Miami brought together prominent figures from the political, economic, financial, technological, and international business communities.

Among the high-level personalities participating in the event were Donald J. Trump, 45th and 47th President of the United States, and Steven Charles Witkoff, U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, alongside leading international investors, business executives, policymakers, and thought leaders.

Global sports leadership was also represented by Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, whose participation highlighted the growing economic significance of major international sporting events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Africa also had a distinguished presence through His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, who participated as a keynote speaker and Distinguished Guest of Honour.

In his address on March 26, President Bio emphasized the importance of transforming Africa’s demographic potential into productive capacity through investment, education, human capital development, and effective public policies.

The Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce was represented at this high-level international gathering by its President, Gabriel Mvogo Saint, who attended FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 in his capacity as President of the European Cooperation System.

His participation focused particularly on the development of trade and economic relations across the Atlantic, with emphasis on Africa’s ability to create greater value from its own resources and strengthen its position within global value chains. The discussions reflected a broader strategic vision: Africa should no longer be viewed solely as a source of raw materials, but increasingly as a destination for investment, production, innovation, technology, and value creation.

As President Gabriel Mvogo Saint stated:

“Africa must no longer be viewed only as a resource base, but as a space for production, investment, innovation, and value creation. Miami is precisely one of the places where a new economic relationship between Africa and the United States can take shape.”

This vision directly supports the mission of the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce: building practical bridges between businesses, investors, institutions, and economic stakeholders in Florida and across African markets.

Donald Trump: “Africa Has Tremendous Potential”

The closing session of FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 also gave particular attention to Africa.

During the final exchange, Richard Attias, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Acting CEO of the FII Institute, asked President Donald Trump for his perspective on Africa and the message he would share with African leaders.

Responding to the question, President Trump stated:

“But Africa has tremendous value in its land. And if they can unify and get together, I think it’s got tremendous potential.”

The statement was particularly significant given the presence of President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone in the room.

For the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce, this exchange reflected an important reality: the African continent possesses substantial economic potential, but unlocking that potential requires stronger integration, greater investment, improved connectivity, and deeper partnerships with global markets.

It also reinforces the importance of creating platforms capable of connecting African opportunities with American capital, technology, expertise, and markets.

Miami: A Strategic Gateway Between the United States and Africa

The FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 experience takes on particular significance because of Miami’s unique geographic and economic position.

Miami serves as a major international gateway connecting the United States with Latin America, the Caribbean, and global markets. For the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce, this position creates an additional opportunity: to strengthen Miami and Florida’s role as a platform connecting American and African economies.

The objective is not simply to encourage African companies to enter the U.S. market or to persuade American companies to explore Africa.

It is to build a sustainable USA–Africa economic corridor capable of facilitating:

  • Cross-border investment between U.S. and African markets;
  • Trade and commercial partnerships between American and African businesses;
  • Access to African investment opportunities for U.S. investors;
  • Technology and knowledge transfer;
  • Market access for African companies seeking to expand into the United States;
  • Local processing and value creation within African economies;
  • Partnerships in energy, infrastructure, agribusiness, technology, logistics, tourism, manufacturing, and natural resources;
  • Stronger institutional relationships between governments, municipalities, chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, and private-sector stakeholders.

From Global Dialogue to Practical Economic Action

One of the key lessons from FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 is that major economic transformations are no longer shaped exclusively through traditional bilateral channels.

They are increasingly driven by international platforms that bring together governments, investors, multinational corporations, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, and policymakers around the same table.

The FII Institute has established its global platforms as spaces designed to connect capital, ideas, and action around some of the most important challenges and opportunities shaping the future.

For the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce, this approach aligns with a fundamental conviction:

Africa must be present wherever decisions are being made about the capital, technologies, investments, and global value chains of tomorrow. The Chamber’s participation in FII PRIORITY Miami therefore forms part of a broader strategy to position Florida as a major gateway for economic engagement with Africa.

Strengthening the USA–Africa Economic Connection

The participation of President Gabriel Mvogo Saint at FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 was not an isolated engagement. It forms part of the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce’s long-term strategy to establish stronger relationships with investors, public institutions, corporations, and economic decision-makers across the United States and Africa.

The event provided an opportunity for the Chamber to engage with leading international stakeholders and to observe firsthand the evolving priorities shaping global capital flows.

The central question is no longer simply whether Africa represents an opportunity.

The strategic question is: How can African opportunities be effectively connected to the capital, technologies, businesses, and markets capable of transforming that potential into sustainable economic growth?

This is precisely where the Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce intends to strengthen its role.

Building the Next Chapter of USA–Africa Economic Relations

FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 demonstrated once again that in an increasingly interconnected global economy, regions capable of building strong connections between markets, institutions, investors, and businesses will hold a significant strategic advantage.

Between Florida and Africa, much of this connection remains to be built.

The Florida Africa Chamber of Commerce is committed to helping build it by creating bridges, facilitating relationships, promoting trade and investment, and positioning Florida as a strategic gateway for deeper economic engagement with Africa.
